Measures Taken
Merry Bath takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of merrybath.com:
- We conduct ongoing Lighthouse accessibility audits to identify and address barriers
- Our content team is trained to write accessible product descriptions and alt text for all product imagery
- We work with our theme and app partners to address accessibility issues as they are identified
- We are actively remediating ARIA attribute usage to better support screen readers and assistive technologies
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance, the following areas are currently being improved:
- ARIA attributes: Some elements on our site have ARIA attributes that do not fully match their roles. We are auditing and correcting these to improve screen reader compatibility.
- Pinch-to-zoom: We are reviewing our viewport settings to ensure users can scale the page up to 5x, which is important for low-vision users.
- Touch target size: Some interactive elements (such as quantity buttons and icon links) may not meet the recommended minimum touch target size. We are updating these across the site.
- Link clarity: Some repeated links (e.g., "Shop Now") are being updated with descriptive labels to better communicate their destination to assistive technology users.
- Color contrast: Certain text and background color combinations are being reviewed and updated to meet the required 4.5:1 contrast ratio for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
- Some third-party app interfaces (such as loyalty, reviews, or subscription widgets) may have limited keyboard navigation or screen reader support. We are working with our app partners to resolve these issues.
